What we do

VOCATIONAL TRAINING/MASS LITERACY

We works within rural and urban communities to identify and support target groups and persons. Some of the ways this is achieved through encouraging young school drop-outs to re-embrace their academic pursuit. Also, the Skills Acquisition Programmes sponsored to encourage self-sustenance and decency among youths.
 
 
HEALTH CARE AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
In today’s world where the scare of HIV/AIDS and the depletion of the ozone layer is poising a lot of concern; CPD is not left out in the campaign for preserving the Earth and its inhabitants for the future. This is done through integrated rural health projects, like supervising the buildings of VIP latrines, training and retraining VHWS, TBAS, etc.
 
 
MICRO-ENTERPRISES PROMOTION
Financial Empowerment is an intrinsic aspect of CPD’s vision of ensuring a quality daily-spending-power for the average Nigerian.
This is further depicted in its ‘poorest of the poor’ project that addresses the self-sustaining ability of its targets by partnering with other CBOs to financially assist registered cooperatives in the rural communities and the training of targeted groups on Business Management and providing Micro-Credits for enterprise promotion.
 
  
DEMOCRACY AND GOVERNANCE
We has been working with other partners to carryout programmes geared towards economic and political strengthening of women for a greater participation in decision making at all levels through advocacy, training on civic education, etc.
  
 
RESEARCH, MONITORING AND EVALUATION
CPD has successfully built a mini library to use for research on relevant issues bordering on our programmes specifications. Recognising the importance of Monitoring and Evaluation in all our programmes, we have carved out a unit to oversea this section.
